Material Selection Guide

Our extensive extrusion selection is produced in a wide range of sizes and shapes in both rigid and flexible custom plastic profiles, rods and tubes. Materials are available in natural, clear, translucent, transparent, fluorescent and custom colors. We can manufacture to your specifications and/or assist in the design and material recommendations to specific applications.

Polyolefins:

  • Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE)
  • High Density Polyethylene (HDPE)
  • Ultra High Molecular Polyethylene (UHMWPE)

Polyurethanes:
  • General purpose (ether or ester base) – BASF, Dow Plastics

    Abrasion resistance, wide range of durometer hardness, high/low temperature, lubricant/fuel/oil/grease resistance
Thermoplastic Elastomers:
  • (TPE) – Santoprene®

    Features/Benetits:
    UV/Ozone resistance, chemically compatible, weather
    resistance, high and low temperature range, resists abrasion
    Acrylics:
    • (Polycarbonate) Extruded tubes and profiles - Acrylite®, Lexan®, Lucite International

      Age resistant, impact strength, low deformation, clarity, UV light resistant
    Vinyls:
    • Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) – AlphaGary and Teknor Apex, Geon, Georgia Gulf, Unichem
